Hi Again, Distinguished L'ers,

One more query from Christmas Island, Kiribati has been posted on Poppe's ID forum. It's an odd Astralium species, with a gunmetal gray (or pewter-silvery gray) color to the aperture, and a crinkled operculum that darkens from that color to a graphite silvery black in the middle. I've collected shells that were very similar in Samoa... except they were trochids, and not turbinids.
