Greetings, I am moving from the San Francisco area to Atlanta in two months, and I have just joined this list to get the local birding scoop. My birding interest is mostly in the context of photography (my site is at http://www.pbase.com/zeiler - let me know if you recognize me from the nature photo geek forums!).

So, here's my question... I'll be working in an office park at the Cobb Galleria near Smyrna and Marietta. I'd like to live somewhere 1) rural/rustic; 2) within 30-45 minute commute; and 3) with access to great birding habitat, with an emphasis more on raptors and waders than small perching birds. I've done a lot of research, so I'm leaning toward Kennesaw. But, I certainly welcome other suggestions. Thanks for your input.

Brian Zeiler Dublin, CA till April
