Subject: Oxbow Meadows - 11/12
Content-type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Julie and I met Bob and Deb Zaremba at Oxbow Meadows around 10:00 and birded til about 2:00. Though we didn't start at prime time, we managed decent 67 spp. Not too many of the rarer sparrows and ducks weren't abounding yet, but we had some nice birds:

Anhinga - 2 Bald Eagle - 2 adults (quite a show at the dredge pond!) Red-shouldered Hawk - 3 Red-tailed Hawk - 6 Cooper's Hawk - 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk - 2 American Kestrel - 2 Sandhill Crane - 3 flyover (3rd OM record) Least Sandpiper - 1 Wilson's Snipe - 2 Common Ground-Dove - 1 American Pipit - 18 fots Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 4 House Wren - many, but no other migrant wrens! White-eyed vireo - 1 Blue-headed Vireo - 5 Orange-crowned Warbler - 5 Black-&-white Warbler - 1 Vesper Sparrow - only 1! Fox Sparrow - 1 fots
