Subject: Fort Gordon-11/9/05

I ran into a nice mixed flock at Cemetery 35 off of the range road at Fort Gordon (Richmond County). It was highlighted by a Brown Creeper, Blue- headed Vireo, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. I found another mixed flock at the nature walk near Union Mill Pond that also had Blue-headed Vireo and both kinglets. Near the drop zone (a large, open field with low, thick grasses) I found Field, Song, White-throated, Chipping, and Savannah Sparrows along with one Dark-eyed Junco.
