Yesterday, I saw a small flock (seven birds) of House Finch feeding on
the berries of a cedar tree in my yard. The frantic activity reminded
me of the flocks of Cedar Waxwing that were doing the same last month.
I have never seen this before.
Below is the URL to a site about the Passenger Pigeon memorial and a
good, but sad, account of the last one and how it came to be. The
numbers are unbelievable.
