Couldn't believe my eyes today-- so I stopped and sure enough it was, indeed, an American Robin hopping around on the lawn of one of the houses near the small lake in the Hospital area. It was still there when I had to leave. There was, also, an Eastern Kingbird on one of the docks of the lake.
Also, we had a new yard bird on May 21, 2005--a Green Heron spent quite a while visiting our small pond in the back yard. Really could study its features and actions.
