Subject: FW: Bird Watching at Robins Air Force Base
Just a reminder!
As part of our "Earth Week" activities, we'll be arranging a bird walk here
on Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins. If you've never been to the
base, we have a broad diversity of habitats including longleaf pine, old
fields, upland hardwoods, lakes, and creek and bottomland hardwoods. During
last year's bird walk we counted nearly 80 species, including Swainson's
Warbler, in one morning. If you would like to join us, I can make
arrangements to get you on the base. We'll be meeting at the base visitor's
center at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 16th, and plan to bird until at least
11:00 a.m. Please contact me directly via email, or call me at 478-926-1197
ext. 119. If you plan to participate, I need to hear from you by April
11th. Hope you can join us!
