Greetings! On Sat. I saw and heard FOTS male Summer Tanager and that evening I listened to the FOTS Whippoorwill or Chuck wills widow. So nice. Found a blue-gray gnatcatcher nest about 25 feet up in a tree. Watched for awhile and figured out that the pair was in the process of lining their almost finished nest with moss. On the way to work this morn, I was delighted to see a white heron in a swamp stalking breakfast.

I still have a group of white throated sparrows (about 13), goldfinches (about 20), and pine siskins (about 35) hogging my seed. They are inhaling it as if there was ice and snow on the ground!
