Not so much the Powers That Be as the list members. Joe was reluctant to ban attachments, but so many people on the list expressed their distaste for getting viruses and pornographic pictures in the mail that he gave in (I understand why he was reluctant - banning attachments : list owner :: banning books : librarian).

Didn't we decide recently that text attachments are allowed?
