Adel,
I have not seen NLMIXED report more df than subjects unless the
user specifies degrees of freedom as an option on the NLMIXED
statement or on a CONTRAST, ESTIMATE, or PREDICT statement.
Can you show us your log and list files where the df are more
than the number of subjects.
