Subject:   Simple questions using SAS in Windows
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

All --

I knew some SAS many years ago (before Windows) and am now trying to teach a little statistics using SAS in Windows with defaults set for everything.

I have two questions that I can't seem to (easily) find answers to --

1. The results windows always comes up closed. I want it the default to be open so I don't have to click everything open and then click to where I want to look. In SPSS, this index defaults to open. I don't want to teach the students ods right now and I don't want to have to scroll through all the pages in the listing. Is this possible?

2. I'm clunking along and I mess up my windows and then would like the default placements back -- my results/explorer on left, log on top right and editor bottom right. I don't want to have to try to move them all back in the approximate places. Do I have to get out of SAS and then back in, in order to see them in the defaults position again?

Thanks in advance. Paulette Johnson Statistical Consulting Florida International University Miami, Florida
