Hello Friends,
The following post is incorrect on two fundamental issues. You *can*
install different versions of SAS with the same license and site number on
the same computer. At one time, I had SAS 9.0, 8.2 and 6.12 on the same
laptop running Windows 2000 Professional. I don't recall all of the
details but you'll want to engineer the installation so that each versions
stores SAS data sets in separate physical directories.
Similarly, users need to consult their SAS license agreement at work
regarding home use. Some licenses (but not all!) include a home-use
extension that allows the same license instance of SAS to be used on a work
computer and on a home computer.
