Sumanth- If you plan on doing this extensively then you may want to look into the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office - -

http://support.sas.com/software/business_intelligence.html "SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office The SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office enables companies to leverage the power of SAS for data access, reporting and analytics directly from Microsoft Office via integrated menus and toolbars. After arriving at the desired results users can directly distribute the information to other relevant decision makers using native Office functionality. This means any data source that SAS can retrieve can be inserted directly into Excel or other MS Office document using a simple point and click interface. In doing this, SAS is saving customers money by reducing the burden on IT resources to create and distribute simple or ad-hoc reports as well as giving more users the ability to efficiently make critical business decisions based on state of the art SAS(r)9 business intelligence technology.

Key benefits of SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office include

Easily gives the power to learn from the past, monitor the present and gain insight into the future to the everyday Microsoft Office user. Frees up Business and IT analysts to do more in-depth analysis. Reduces cost by eliminating unnecessary maintenance, development and training."

I know this is a basic question but i've been struggling with it for a while so here goes....I want to be able to use excel to connect directly to a sas dataset I have created. Now, i know i need to use ODBC for this, but where can i get the driver. A URL would be very helpful.

Regards, Sumanth
