Subject: Sweetwater Creek Sightings
This is a delayed posting. I hiked the Yellow trail at Sweetwater Creek
State Park the week of Thanksgiving. The fall foliage was at its peak ~
absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect. (Before all the rain).
Highlights included:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - several
Golden-crowned Kinglet - several
Brown Creeper - several
Winter Wren - 4
Song Sparrow - 4
White-throated Sparrow - 3
Field Sparrow - 2
Swamp Sparrow - 1
Downy Woodpecker - 3
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 2
Great Blue Heron - 2
Turkey Vultures - 5
Red-tailed Hawk - 1
American Goldfinch -4
