Bar charts that include non-selected 'Likert' categories?
I have checked various help resources including Raynald Levesque's site
but the problem solutions does not seem exactly as this one requires
though there is a reference to the fact that to a similar problem the
solution may 'now be trivial in version 12'. I am hoping that this is
indeed the case as we use SPSS for Windows version 12.02 and most likely
I am simply not finding the appropriate option to select despite my best
efforts.
Here is a summary of the problem:
Questions provided a 4 point Likert scale from strong disagreement to
strong agreement as indicated by the numbers: 1,2,3,4. For particular
questions the sample of respondents have not selected all four
categories across the sample but perhaps only two or three (even perhaps
only one) and we need to show on a percentage bar chart the other
categories at level zero. By default the graph displays only the
categories selected as if they are the only categories there are. (When
I check the included/excluded values for the bar properties there are no
categories appearing as excluded).
Any help would be appreciated.
