Might be incompatability with the operating system on the new computer?
If you have e.g. XP or a similar recent operating system it is likely
that the earlier version of SPSS won't run with it. I think that
version 11 was a bridging version that accommodated some older and
newer operating systems at the time of its release?
kind regards

Hi all,
I just got a new computer and wanted to reinstall my SPSS 10.1 program
(I
know it's archaic, but it works for me) and after concluding the
installation process I found myself unable to find the SPSS 10.1 icon.
When
I go to Start/Programs/SPSS for Windows I have this "SPSS 10.1
Production
Facility" option only. When I click on it a window opens that says
SPSSjob.
I looked around and I cannot find an execute file or anything that
would
guide me what to do next. Am I doing something wrong? I don't remember
going
through anything like this when I installed it originally...
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Iwona
