Subject: Interesting (?) Nighthawk sighting

I was surprised to see three (3) common nighthawks yesterday (10/27) at 5:50 p.m. (still quite a bit of daylight left) moving south at the intersection of Sexton Woods Drive and Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Chamblee. All three were about 35' above the ground and seemed to be on a mission (they were not hanging around feeding). They appeared to me to be a bit smaller than I'm used to seeing at Brave's games downtown. Perhaps they were young (first year birds) or perhaps my 50 yr. old eyes are not what they used to be. At any rate, I have never seen nighthawks on the move this early in the day.
