Well...

I might as well send a message intended for the list, not just one person. I am interested in knowing if those of you who collected Strombus alatus on the COA field trip found that they had lovely chocolate colored backs, as my two did (one of which was kindly donated by someone else who had collected more that two and kindly gave me the best one of my now two). (I had put three or four back, as they were not good quality shells.)
