Subject: Avoid character length limit when importing from excel

I know it's Friday and probably most everyone has left for the workweek, but if anyone is still hanging out in the office and knows how to circumvent the 255 default character width I'd appreciate any pointers. I've tried (to no avail) PROC IMPORT, DDE, the import wizard, converting to a text file, and downloading the pcff_p81 patch (I downloaded it, but the readme instructions aren't clear enough for me to follow). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Gina Nicolosi
