Dear Student,

Your assignment should you accept it is to re-produce the SAS Salary/Rate Reports and Graphs located on my website at http://www.sconsig.com - look under Table of Contents.

Now, you will need some sample data which can also be found on my site at http://www.sconsig.com/sastips/tip00267.htm.

This data only represents Full Time Employee Surveys but there should be enough to get a flavor of various types of inputs, missing data, and other such anomalies one would find in a survey collection.

You will only be able to produce the reports / graphs for fulltime employees and your data will only have August 2000 to ??? 2001 or so.

But the assignment is to produce these reports/graphs in the best way you can. Once completed, you can submit your SAS code for final judgment by the SAS-L experts and you will be assigned a letter grade - A (Excellent) to F (Find another profession <grin>).

You can ask for help by SAS-Lers but I will monitor your progress by the questions you ask and how long it takes you to complete this assignment. I would estimate that 4 weeks should be long enough to complete this assignment unless of course you are studying for you final exams and need the time to pass your current courses - then I would expect you should complete this by June 15th - 2 months from now.

Good Luck and much success, Charles Patridge http://www.sconsig.com
