Mainly size. C. h. beddomei was formerly described as a "dwarf race" of C.
hesitata. Lorenz & Hubert consider it "a geograhical subspecies" of C.
hesitata, restricted to the northeastern limits of the range of C. hesitata.
However you categorize it, it is substantially smaller when full grown than
typical C. hesitata, and it is also supposed to be relatively less
attenuated both anteriorly and posteriorly.
