Subject:   Multivariate analysis question
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

First pardon my limited knowledge of statistics, which I learned mostly thru SAS programming.

Here is the question: We have two scale systems used to measure the patients for the treatment. One is called SelfCare, like bath, groom etc. And the other one is called Mobility, like transfer2bed, transfter2chair etc. The scale ranges from 1 to 7, with 1 as lowest and 7 as highest. Both systems tracks the prescores and postscores. I heard of multivariate analysis, like principal component, factor analysis, etc. But what exactly could I apply here? I really appreciate your help.
