A single Canvasback drake has joined the Redheads at the small pond on Old Farmington Rd, south of Watkinsville. It showed up yesterday afternoon. The 21 Redheads are still present and have been there since Jan 27, along with one Ring-necked Duck and two domestic Mallard.
Directions from a previous post:
Most of the pond is visible with a scope from Old Farmington Rd, a half mile south of Astondale Rd. (Delorme pg 28, southwest corner of A3. The road labeled "Poplar Springs Rd" is actually the western part of Astondale Rd.)
