Subject: multi-threaded or not?

I'm not finding anything clear about this on Google, Dejanews or SI's website. Is it correct to say that version 8 is not multi-threaded for optimizing dual-CPU systems, but version 9 will be? And is that specifically the right answer for SAS/Linux?
