I am quite concerned about the unsupported state of XP HE because I too saw nothing of value in XP Pro when I purchased my 2 home computers earlier this year. In order to make sure that any future problem I might encounter with v9 would qualify for SAS Tech support, I've been thinking about upgrading (which I've never done before). My question is, to anyone who's gone through the process, does one need to do a clean install (take everything off the computer and start from scratch), or does simply upgrading (which would allow, theoretically, programs and files to remain in place) work just as well? My main concern is that my large datasets may become corrupted in the upgrade process. Just wondering if anyone's gone through this before... Gina Nicolosi University of Cincinnati
