Subject: How do I synchronize files ?

I use a mix of data stored locally on the PC and on a VMS host using (FILENAME xxx FTP).

I would like to test if the host file has changed and if so, make a local copy and use that instead.

I have tried foptname, fname functions, but they return little information.

So is there a function to obtain a file's date that works cross platform ?

TIA

Lars
