Rain threatened in Middle Georgia today, but it only spit a little. The
wind came up later so the little guys were scarce ( which is to say
nonexistent). However the shore birds are still sopping over. Here is a
list of todays birds of interest seen by Ken and Arlene Clark, Walt
Bowman and Me.
Great Blue Heron 5
Great Egret 43
Snowy Egret 5
Little Blue Heron 3
Cattle Egret 92
Green Heron 2
Wood Stork 62
American Golden Plover ( 2 flew in stayed about 5 minutes then headed
South)**(Beginning to moult from breeding plumage)
Semipalmated Plover 5
Killdeer 24
Gr Yellow Legs 3
Lesser Yellow Legs 20
Solitary SP 2
Spotted SP 2
Western SP 2
Least SP 65
Baird's SP 5**
Pectoral SP 2
Stilt SP 5
Buff Breasted SP 1 ( Didn't stay in view much longer than the AGPL)**
Short Billed Dowitcher 5
