Data Programmer/Analyst to work in the Prevention Research Branch Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

We are seeking an experienced data programmer/analyst who has: * MS or MPH in Biostatistics or other public health field; * Excellent data management, analytical and programming skills; * Experience with managing large multi-site datasets; * Experience with standard statistical packages - SPSS, SAS, Splus; * Experience with collaborative research projects or working with Multi-disciplinary teams of researchers.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Behavioral Intervention Research Branch focuses on developing and testing the effectiveness of interventions that target HIV risk behaviors to prevent the spread of HIV. The Data Programmer/Analyst will be coordinating the management of large multi-site datasets and preparing specific analytical datasets based on requests from sites. The person will also be working with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers (including epidemiologists, behavioral scientists, and statisticians) in analyzing various types of data (risk behavior data, psycho- social scale measures, biologic data, etc.) from a variety of intervention projects ongoing within the Branch. The Data Programmer/Analyst will be working closely with a statistician to insure the data are of high quality and the analytical methods used are appropriate.
