The water levels have finally dropped some on the Huie ponds. Today's good
birds included 1 STILT SANDPIPER, 1 SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, 9 LEAST SANDPIPERS,
3 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, 5 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS, 1 SPOTTED SANDPIPER, 28 GREAT
EGRETS, 6 GREEN HERONS, TREE & BARN SWALLOWS. I had a GREAT-HORNED OWL
calling at the Wetlands Center early today and a COOPER'S HAWK hanging out
at the picnic pavilion, but no warblers there yet.
