Zing!!!! - Kapow!!! .... and even, Zap!!! (and you know you've been doin'
SAS a *long* time if you remember Zaps ...)
Holy Sh_t Batman ......
Jens, I'm sort of in the Jack and Mad Doggy camp re. certification.
But I have to hand it to you, this was great response for, speaking only
for myself whose been a SAS Code Dog since '75, there is plenty new in SAS
these days that I never seem to get around to trying.
Heck, I still write code w/ a text mode editor (Semware's Q-Edit) and an
occasional GUI'd one (UltraEdit) vs. display manager, use DDE extensively
compared to ODS, "puts" and maybe some Tabulates vs. Proc Report (sorry
Ray) .... and on and on.
Don't let old geezers like us (in this kennel) put you off in your
(possible) desire to get certified; he_l: more power to you.
My kudos to you, of course, don't lessen my/our view that certification may
not really be needed to get a good job/assignment.
Best regards
P.S. And yes Virginia, I am certified (Base) and am an Alliance Partner.
