Subject: SAS test for Equality of variances
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

In order to compare the variance of two independent distributions, the usual method is to assume that each distribution is normal and use an F test of the ratio of the sample variances.

Does SAS have a procedure for testing the equality of variances when the populations are not normal?

TIA

Joe
