Subject: Statistician Job Opportunity
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

I am an Executive Recruiter and I am working with a company that is the World's Online Marketplace for the sale of goods and services by a diverse community of individuals and businesses. They have a need for a Statistician.

This individual will use statistical techniques to design and code predictive models that detect fraud. In this role, the Statistician will be required to be expert in building predictive, statistically valid models. They will generate reporting on performance of models and manage the day-to-day aspects of systems (SAS, data sources, workflow systems, etc.) to ensure that the modeling and production infrastructure is optimized.

This person will have a Master's degree in Statistics or other quantitative discipline (PhD a plus) and a minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in a relevant field, preferably within the Data-Mining, Quantitative Research, or Risk Management Department of a financial institution.

Of course, you’re going to need a proven ability to build statistical models using SAS, and preferably experience managing junior SAS modelers/statisticians.

If you know someone who might have the skills required to produce results in this position or you have the skills yourself, I’d like to talk to you.

Or forward this email along to others you respect and think highly of that could benefit from knowing about this position.

Two things to note: 1) My fees are paid by the employer, and 2) I will keep the source of any referrals you give me confidential.

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,

Pete Taylor, CSAM pete@mrislc.com (801) 264-9800 x 3027 (800) 622-2085 x 3027 www.mrislc.com Management Recruiters of Salt Lake City
