Subject: reading flat files from a folder

Hi,

I am quite new to SAS, and one of my tasks involves reading a lot of TEXT FILES (with identical structure) from a FIXED FOLDER.

The names of the files are in no specific order, and i need to create ONE CONSOLIDATED DATA SET with an extra field identifying the Name of the SOURCE TEXT FILE.

Can any one help ( or may be identify a previous message that can solve my problem )? I tried searching the archives, but could not find anything.

Thanks a lot.

Regards, Diptendu.
