Subject: Lake Acworth
There was a nice collection of ducks at the upper end of Lake Acworth this
afternoon. The lake is now full again but very muddy except in the shallow
end as viewed from Cobblestone Golf Course.
Here is what I could make out(no scope-too many tools in the Jeep):
Mallard-100+
American Wigeon-4
Gadwall-26
AMERICAN BLACK DUCK-7
NORTHERN PINTAIL-1 male
Green-Winged Teal-3
Ring-Necked Duck-14
By the way, the only ducks along the Chattahoochee River near the Nature
Center as of late have been 25+/- Gadwall in the lake across from the CNC
(Lake Willeo). There was one Osprey as well last week in this same area.
