Dear SAS users,

I have recently posted a question about importing several Excell files at the same SAS data set. Thanks to msome of your answers, I have been able to create a data set with the names of the Excell files which lie in a folder. I have also created a macro which tries to import all these files.

Nevertheless, I have a problem in the macro. SAS says that the names of the files are too large, when I am just calling them "1.xls" and "4.xls".

I am sending the data (which I have stored at "C:\Temp") and the program.

Could anybody give me a hint?
