Jean-Pierre,

As of release 8.2 of SAS, there is PROC GAM available.  Look at
http://www.sas.com/rnd/app/da/new/802ce/stat/chap5/index.htm
for syntax and examples.  GAM was experimental in version 8.1.
If you have version 8.1 but not 8.2, then you should look at
http://www.sas.com/rnd/app/da/new/801ce/stat/chap4/index.htm
for syntax and examples.
