Subject: ODS PDF PROC REPORT Number alignment
Comments: To: SAS-L@UGA.CC.UGA.EDU
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Problem: Aligning the numbers in a Report - ODS PDF Format. Here are the specifics:

I am using PROC REPORT to print the report and the output is a PDF file. I am putting together N (%) (L, U) Where N is the Count,% Percentage, and 95% Confidence Interval for the Proportion - Lower and Upper.

This is done at 4 levels of the organization and the report looks like this:

Item City County State Nation -------------- ---------- ---------- ----------- ---------- Category Sub-Category 1 N(%) (L,U) N(%) (L,U) N(%) (L,U) N(%) (L,U) Sub-Category 2 ” N,% and CI are put in a character Variable (for each level) by using Put statements. The report columns are Item, Sub, City, County, State, Nation.

The problem is Numbers do not line up(vertically) in PDF format and the Report looks awkward. I tried Times, Arial, Courier fonts.

I appreciate, if any one could help me with this problem.
