Subject:      Mississippi Kites at ashmore Smith Cr site in Tattnall County

GABO Birders,

Last Saturday [6/15/02] I spotted 3 Mississippi Kites feeding on insects
above the same field we saw all the action last July and August.  This field
was recently mowed and baled. DeLorme p. 54 C1.

The sign on the road is Rushing-Boone Rd Cty 295, a right turn from Rt 121
South. This rd splits, take one on right (Ashmore Smith Cr Cty 293) for 2/10
of a mile, the field is on left. No Swallow-Tail Kites were seen. I was
there from 10:00AM to 11:15 AM.
