There is a hotfix for problems with call execute, and its truncating of generated code. Read more about this feature here: http://www.sas.com/service/techsup/unotes/SN/005/005243.html

Strange way of generating a format, though... ;) Have you considered building a CNTLIN dataset instead? Hope this helps! Stig Eide (which is six hours closer to the weekend than most of you!)
