Subject: revised salary

Greetings!

I will be completing my masters program (MPH) in Biostatistics from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, US. I have done well in school (GPA 3.9). I have used SAS for almost one and half year as part of my research assistantship. I have used BASE, STAT and GRAPH. I have written macros and have done programming in IML. In my limited experience I have enjoyed data manipulation and writing macros the most. I have touched ODS a little bit. I have done statistical analysis but I like programming much more.

I have taken courses in JAVA , Visual Basic and Lisp. I have written a word search program in JAVA (for text analysis) and have made some applets.

Problem solving fascinates me the most. I want to develop my self as SAS programmer. I am not interested in any particular sector (Govt., Industry or Academia). I want to go to a sector that uses my problem solving skills and my knowledge of SAS and other programming languages. I would like to learn about other features of SAS. I think this information is much more important than expected salary.

I am an international student, so I am looking for a permanent job. I am single and ready to go anywhere as long as job is exciting.

I need advice regarding where to apply and how to plan my career.

Thanks

Sam
