Hi,

I see you've already received a solution. As an issue of list etiquette, I'd suggest when a solution has been provided off-list, and one is kind enough to post appreciation (if only to stop the flood of private emails), it's often helpful to post your chosen solution as well, to benefit any lurkers.

Also thought I'd point out that such an item scored high on the SASware Ballot, looks like 6th place overall if I read correctly:

"PROC FREQ: add an option to the TABLES statement to output the number of unique values for a variable"
