I had to take care of some business in Upson County today. I did manage to check Race Track Road again. The DICKCISSELS are still on location. I had at least 9 today. I had 12 the other day. Also, I had today an AMERICAN BITTERN flying over the airport. My Dad and I stopped by a creek near his house there in Upson. We found four SWAINSON'S WARBLERS along with fifteen species of warbler which was a bit surprising.

I am glad others have been able to relocate the Dickcissels in Upson and in Spalding County. The birds are really striking in their plumage and song. The ones in Spalding are still on location despite the mowers. I have not checked the site I found the other day in Butts County, but they may be mowing there soon anyway. Talk to you later.

Eric Beohm Griffin, GA
