The long-awaited revision of Roger Tory Peterson's "original"
fieldguide--...Birds of Eastern and Central North America--is now out,
with some new art work, new text, and completely revamped maps (largest
format currently on the market).  A group of us met at Rum Creek about 7
years ago (if my recollection is correct) to hash out details on species'
ranges in Georgia. They have acknowledged all those who provided
information from all the states and provinces.  Amazingly, the
Acknowledgment section lists all 26 names of us Georgia consultants, which
is more than twice as many as they list for any other state.
