Subject:   SAS TextMiner or WordStat

I am currently looking for a text mining software to analyze responses to open-ended questions. I was told that SPSS's TextSmart should be avoided. The best software I have found so far is WordStat from Provalis Research. I tried their demo and the product is quite powerful and very cheap ( see www.simstat.com/wordstat.htm ). But I learned that SAS recently released a text mining software (TextMiner). How does this program compares with WordStat? How good is TextMiner to analyze responses to open-ended questions, emails or other types of documents?

Richard M.
