I've had just my regular (oft times numerous) Chipping Sparrows, and the House Finches and that's it, all except for one odd bird ...

A Red-Winged Black Bird was in the feeder two days ago, all by himself for several minutes. I've only seen one other here, and that was sometime last year, just lighting here and there mostly. So it was nice to actually host him for a meal.

We definitley had Purple Finches here last year, but haven't seen even one since they left last year. :(
