David,
Just have the user upload the file via a CGI script (I don't think
SAS/Intrnet supports file uploading), possibly using the SAS session ID to
record which user's file it is, then once completed forward to the
appropriate Intrnet program that will use the file. Anything else gets
sticky – file sharing, domains, etc.

Subject: Possible to access data remotely using SAS/IntrNet ??
Is it possible to have a server running SAS and SAS/IntrNet open and read a
file on a users computer if all they have is a web browser on their end? ie
assume SAS is running on a remote server somewhere with either a SAS/IntrNet
or AppDev Studio Java client on that server. Can a remote user access the
server and point to a local file on their machine (eg Excel, text, etc) and
have SAS open and read the file remotely? Would this require JDBC?
Connect? Something else? Impossible, don't even try???? Ideas and
suggestions???
Thanks
Dave
