Thanks for the suggestion. Using the more appropriate values for An and
Bn on both of the DEC systems yields Tf=1;
For OpenVMS:
NOTE: SAS (r) Proprietary Software Release 8.2 (TS2M0)
NOTE: This session is executing on the OpenVMS 7.2 platform.
NOTE: Running on ALPHASERVER Model 8200 5/440 Serial Number 80000000.
An=224.132 An=406C04395810624E Ar=406C04395810624E
Bn=224.132 Bn=406C04395810624D Br=406C04395810624E
Tf=1
And for Tru64 Unix:
NOTE: SAS (r) Proprietary Software Release 8.2 (TS2M0)
NOTE: This session is executing on the OSF1 V5.1 platform.
An=224.132 An=406C04395810624E Ar=406C04395810624E
Bn=224.132 Bn=406C04395810624D Br=406C04395810624E
Tf=1

Hi Ken:
Try my HEX values; the one's you & Ya & Paul are/were using, are from
the
mainframe .... mine & those in Paul's original post, had been the PC's
HEX
values.
Remember, in Floridian/Ukranian parlance, Mainframe = Big Brother ...
or, as Winston might reflect:
"War is Peace"
"Freedom is Slavery"
"Ignorance is Strength"
