Avril,

I thought Tetrodotoxins were those associated with puffer fish, genus Tetrodon. This is the first I have heard of a poisonous, rather than venomous mollusk (discounting red tide ingestors). Are you saying some Buccinidae are actually poisonous? And to think I always liked that family.....

Hello Conchlers,

Who amongst our numbers might be willing to answer a few questions in regards to the Buccinidae family. I'm getting into edible versus inedible species and trying to figure out a bit about such nasties as Tetrodotoxins.
