Well my juncos have finally arrived. I had several feeding today. I also had
a nice surprise when I looked out the kitchen window to see 3 male & 1 female
bobwhite quail feeding under the hanging feeders. They eventually made their
way over to my deck and sunbathed for a time in the warm sun. They were very
close and very beautiful birds. I still haven't had any red-breasted
nuthatches or grosbeaks yet.
PS. The quail weren't sunbathing on the deck - the way it sounded - they
were on the ground close to the deck in a sunny little corner. (Thought I
should clear that up)!
