The maps of the Florida Breeding Bird Atlas have finally been published on the internet.

For the announcement, see message from Peter Merritt, President, Florida Ornothological Society, at:

http://www.lists.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0110&L=floridabirds-l&P=R9501

I find that is a little hard to read because of the way it recorded in the archives, but it can be read by following the long lines.

FOS is beginning a new website and the maps may be accessed through http://www.fosbirds.org . Click on Breeding Bird Atlas.

Birders as far away as Quebec are joyous about the publication of these maps, and they will come in handy for Georgia birders along the south part of the state as well.

Have fun with the maps!

Barbara Passmore
